the first few months duduk same dengan husband dekat sini kami akan breakfast every single day - mase tu bangun pagi2 & prepare foods (read: foods. real foods. foods yg perlu dimasak ok..i can't believe it myself) & hari2 kami akan menapau ke ofis. The colleague dropping their jaw when i said i cook before coming to work - maybe it's because of the distance that they hardly believe i'd be able to do that. tapi it doesn't last long pon..masuk 2nd month dah slow...& continues with the reduced momentum and suddenly it just stops. no more breakfast - no more tapau.
paling koman kalau tak sempat nak masak apa2 we'll just be having telor separoh masak - 2 bijik untuk saye, 2 bijik untuk die. top with pepper..& sometimes dunk in dgn black pepper sauce. del.ici.ous . 1 papan telor will last for 5 working days - 2 months practice - so i believe that habit is one of the many reasons how i gain that double digit increment of my total body mass. cannot resist babe..
nway,
that day i browsed thru my sister's blog and stumble upon an old post -
"calling for the return of gold dinar as money" -
and ternampak gambar yang pernah tengok dulu - and still remember my reaction on the first time i saw it (klik sini)
it costs 100 billion to get 3 eggs in zimbabwe - ridiculous right?
but that's exactly what happen in zimbabwe - 5 sextillion % of inflation - so $100b almost equivalent to RM 0.60.
truth hurts.
i am new to this thing - in fact i'm still learning - regarding the biggest culprit invention that we call money - paper money - paper that's been assigned a specific value on it - that we have been made believe that they means a lot to us - but underneath all the inks - they are just a damn piece of paper.
so if it's $100b for 3 eggs in zimbabwe, 1 papan of 30 bijik telor would be 100b x 10 = $1T.
lord!
if that figure is in RM, i would buy the company that i work in & swaying my trillion *** into the President's office.
but it's not. truth hurts. again.
if we look back in history - it was after the Civil War that the US introduced their first fiat money called Greenbacks as a tool to cover the war's cost - but Greenbacks were backed by gold value, of which after almost 20 years of its use, the US manage to reimburse the Greenbacks into gold resulting in domestic price stability & virtually, no inflation.
but it didn't last long.
WWI comes into the picture - US needs financial aids for the war - and this marks the beginning of the uncontrol printing of paper money - and they were no longer backed by gold value - because there wasn't enough gold stock to support the printed paper money.
& it continues - inflation hikes - and to make it worse - Nixon guy ended the international gold standard - and during that time no currencies were backed by gold value - & it just goes downhill from there..
same goes with what happen in zimbabwe - & as a result - 3 bijik telor harge nye 100 billion dollar - paper money melayang2 dalam negare diorang - takde sape kesah - sebab dah takde value.
anyway,
thanks to wakjem that he's the initiator of this (i consider as) BiG revelation that i would just care less before i knew it.
the downside of paper money & the fitrah of gold & silver as currency.
i am having a full faith in this hadeeth:
that the Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said that there will come a day where nothing will be of benefits to you - so keep gold and silver
truth hurts.
but not unless you do something about it.
me: 5 dinar and counting... (insyAllah)
